Finally...the holidays!
Yes, it's finally here! Spring break....*sigh* The past month has been ubber busy- countless assignments, piles of homework, a science project, three essays, midterms...the list goes on. But I am now homework free! Yahoo! I also got my report card and my hard work has paid off.
I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. Good Friday service at 10am at Hillsdale, lunch with the family, set up sound equipment at WCC then it's the Good Friday Youth Service. Last year's Good Friday Youth Rally was AWESOME so I'm really stoked for this year's GF. I'm also excited to be drumming for it again too.
If you could, I would really appreciate your prayers. Pray that the worship team will be able to effectively lead the youth in worship tomorrow and that the focus would be entirely on Christ. I invited about 9 or 10 people out, so pray that they can come and that God would really work in their hearts tomorrow. Please pray that I get better as well. I woke up this morning with a stuffed nose and sore throat that has lasted throughout the entire day with a headache and burning eyed to boot. So please pray that I get better for tomorrow. Thank you.
Something that was really awesome was lunch time today! Thom's ISCF group had spent a few lunch hours baking and icing sugar cookies and today we set up a table and gave away cookies. We had one poster with John 3:16 on it, another poster wishing everyone a happy Easter from ISCF and a drawing of Jesus above the table. We made 3 ice cream bucket-fulls of cookies that were seriously gone in about 25 minutes. So many people would come up to us and say "how much are the cookies?" and we'd smile and tell them they were free. So they'd ask why, and we'd tell them it was a simple way of ISCF wishing them a happy Easter since Good Friday and Easter Sunday are right around the corner. Everyone was really positive too! The students and the teachers loved the cookies as well. It was really interesting to see that everyone had to be told almost twice that the cookies were free before believing us, or they'd ask "what's the catch?" They couldn't understand why we would hand out cookies for free. One guy insisted over and over that he give us 50 cents. It was an awesome experience showing God's love by simply giving someone a cookie and watching their face light up as they enjoyed their free cookie. Plus there were quite a few people that remembered ISCF handing out free candy canes at Christmas with little notes on them, so that was great to know that people remember those little things.
So here I am, my head is pretty full of sickness, but my heart is full of joy from the blessings that God has given to me today. And I thank Him everyday for always guiding me and showing His love through even the smallest acts of kindness from others. I'm pumped for tomorrow and I hope to see all y'all at the City Wide Youth Service or the Good Friday service in the morning.
May God bless you this Easter, and may you remember the true meaning of Easter!
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He sent His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
God bless,
Andrea

Hi Andrea:
Thank you for this great post and putting all the emphasis on our Risen Saviour. I have been praying for you and asking the Lord to put His hand of healing upon you. I know how much it means to you to play tonight for the Lord.May every heart be challenged and blessed, and that they all know they met with our Lord Jesus Christ at Western Christian College tonight. Thank you for sharing the Lord with people at school and living the bible before all who know you.I praise and thank the Lord for you every day.
Thank you for your prayers and encouragement
